Position Description: Accommodate Guest’s needs by preparing food according to established recipes and procedures as well as following safety and sanitation guidelines. Essential Functions: (the position exists to perform these functions) Prepare and cook all food menu items to company specifications. Use all prep tools and equipment. Side work required for each shift. Operate kitchen equipment including the coffee machine, ice tea machine, lemon slicer and the POS system. Stock and organize daily or weekly deliveries. Execute proper sanitation practices and safety procedures. Use the dish machine and all related equipment. Use cleaning chemicals properly. Wash dishes, sweep/mop floors, clean and maintain equipment, sanitize utensils and Must be familiar with the setup, operation, break down, and cleaning of all kitchen equipment. Maintain all areas of the restaurant. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Must be at least 18 years old. Must possess a current Food Handler’s Card where applicable. Excellent customer service skills and etiquette Reading, writing, and math skills required. Ability to learn restaurant menu and recipes and to guide the Guests on choosing menu items between spicy and mild dishes, etc. Ability to learn restaurant seating layout and how tables are divided into server areas. Ability to learn and follow uniform standards. Knowledge of all chemicals used in the building. Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to Employees, dining room staff, Management and Guests.
